Pride in Yountville 2026
Yountville has always believed that the best tables are the ones where everyone has a seat.
Past, Present and Future : Who We Are
California has long been a place where the LGBTQ2+ community could find refuge – San Francisco, of course, but also so many of the smaller towns and regions that make up the sunny state. Of those towns, we count Yountville as one of them.
In recent years, LGBTQ+ rights – especially those of transgender and nonbinary people – have faced renewed challenges across the United States. Federal actions have threatened legal recognition, military service has again become a battleground, and many states have restricted access to gender-affirming care. California remains one of the strongest states for LGBTQ+ protections, but those protections don’t exist in a vacuum. They’re part of a larger, ongoing national conversation about dignity, safety, and the simple right to live openly
And the thing is, none of this is about choices. If being LGBTQ2+ were simply a lifestyle preference, why would anyone willingly take the harder road? When institutions, family structures, and political systems make it genuinely difficult to just *be yourself*, no one makes that choice lightly. The truth is, it isn’t a choice. LGBTQ2+ people have been present throughout the entirety of recorded history, in every culture, on every continent. They’ve always been here. What has changed, slowly, painfully, and sometimes in reverse, is whether society makes room for them to live with dignity, safety, and joy.
That’s the whole point of Pride Month, really. It’s not a party for its own sake. It’s a deliberately carved-out space where being yourself carries no apology, no asterisk. It’s a reminder that inclusion isn’t some radical concept – it’s what community actually looks like when you’re doing it right. It’s about having a seat at the table, a face in the room, access to healthcare and education and opportunity. It’s about not being erased, and standing proud to be who you are.
You might be reading this as someone who is part of the LGBTQ2+ community. Maybe a close friend or family member is. Maybe you’re someone who simply believes in freedom and justice – and loves this country and its flag precisely because of what those values are supposed to mean. Wherever you’re coming from, you’re welcome here.
What Pride Looks Like in Yountville
There are plenty of places to celebrate Pride in California – massive parades, packed streets, all-night energy. Yountville does it differently. The rainbow flags flutter along Washington Street. Conversations blooms over a good glass of wine. Local businesses open their doors a little wider, not just in June but all year long.
Pride in Yountville isn’t about being the loudest celebration in California. It’s about the right things – connection, belonging, the simple freedom to show up as exactly who you are.

Pride Is All of Us
At its core, Pride is about people. It’s about showing up as yourself and being welcomed, not despite who you are but because of it. It’s about seeing your face in the crowd, having access to opportunity and care, not being talked around or written out.
Yountville is proud to be welcoming and celebrating LGBTQ2+ communities – not just in June, but year-round. The doors are open. The wine is poured. There’s always room for one more at the table.
Happy Pride. 🌈
