When you visit the Yountville Welcome Center you are greeted by our volunteers with a warm smile and a wealth of Yountville and Napa Valley knowledge. Since we are unable to welcome you right now we have gathered our volunteers favorite itineraries to help you plan your trip.

DIANE’S NAPA VALLEY FAMILY VACATION

Diane has been volunteering with the Yountville Welcome Center for the past three years. When she is at the Welcome Center she loves to find out what types of trip our visitors are looking for. She also knows how hard it can be to visit wine country with kids so she has put together a great couple of days for the whole family.

Friday night:

After your drive into the valley enjoy a bucket of fried chicken from Addendum. Take it to go to one of our parks or back to the hotel.

After your fried chicken take the kiddos down to the pool to work off some of that pent up energy. Hilton Garden Inn is a great place to stay with families and only a ten minute drive from Yountville.

Saturday:

Start your morning at Mini Model. Located in the Caboose of Napa Valley Railway Inn the kids are sure to love their hot chocolate and English muffins. They also have great coffee drinks for mom and dad.

Next up pick up picnic provisions at Ranch Market Too and Velo Deli & Pizzeria. Velo offers great pre-made sandwiches as well as sandwiches to order and pizza by the slice.

With your picnic provisions in hand its time to stroll the town. Enjoy the Art Walk with over 25 sculptures, stop at the French Laundry Garden and wonder to the back to visit the chickens.  End your stroll at Yountville Community Park to let the kids run around and take a nap in the grass.

Now it is time to head up valley for some kid friendly wine tasting. Make an appointment at Sterling Vineyards to ride the gonadal and take the self-guided tour.

By this point you and your kids are probably hungry. Take your picnic to the Old Faithful Geyser and enjoy and picnic and the fainting  goats!

Head back to the hotel for one more swim before dinner at R+D Kitchen.

Sunday:

Start the day with breakfast on the patio at Southside Cafe.

After breakfast rent bikes from Napa Valley Bike Tours & Rentals. Ride down the Vine Trail for a safe family ride.

On your way out of town stop to get gas at Kelly’s Filling Station & Wine Shop. Pick up some wine to take home and a hot dog and soft serve for the kids.
