During his tenure with the Oakland A’s, Joe Blanton cultivated a passion for wine, fostered by team dinners during away games. In 2014, Joe and his wife, LeeAndra, embarked on a vinicultural venture by acquiring a quaint vineyard near Howell Mountain’s summit. The Selah estate vineyard spans three acres and is meticulously cared for by esteemed hillside specialist Josh Clark.
The Blantons enlisted Thomas Rivers Brown as their winemaker, drawn to an immediate connection with him; his winemaking style, cherished by them over the years, resonates with the same passionate vision Joe devoted to his baseball career.
