KALÍ ZOË Art & Jewelry Pop Up

KALÍ ZOË” by artists and sisters Arianna and Callie Spiros at Gallery at the Yountville Community Center. The Spiros sisters, raised in Northport, New York, founded the Napa-based fine jewelry and art studio Kalí Zoë to carry forth their artistic vision.  Kalí Zoë translates to “may your life be good” in Greek, and their work celebrates small moments of beauty in the natural world. While the exhibit runs through Friday May 13, a number of pop-up events also are scheduled.  Paintings will be on gallery walls throughout the exhibit and jewelry will on display during the opening and at follow-up events.  At other times jewelry will be showcased in a large linen book. “Art and Jewelry Pop-Ups” will occur on Fridays 11:00 AM-5:00 PM on April 15, 22, 29 and May 13.  Additionally, you can bring your child to a “Children’s Sketch & Design Class Sat April 23, 11:00-11:45 PM.  Elementary-school aged children are welcome with all materials provided, and parents or guardians are asked to stay during the class.

The first in a soon-to-be-announced series, “Women in the Arts” will showcase composer, performer, and 2019 Miss America titleholder Nia Imani Franklin in an intimate speaking event and dinner featuring women-owned or operated wineries, and producers that feature female winemakers. Dinner includes a 4-course, perfectly paired meal. Join composer, performer, and 2019 Miss America titleholder Nia Imani Franklin in an intimate event celebrating Women in the Arts. An in-demand composer, Franklin has had her music performed by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Friction Quartet, and others. She was Festival Napa Valley’s 2021 Composer-in-Residence. With a degree in music from East Carolina University and a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Franklin is a powerful voice for empowering women in music, a mission advanced by “Compose Her,” an organization she founded in 2019. She was a recipient of the William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at Lincoln Center Education, following which she earned the titles Miss New York 2018 and Miss America 2019. As a recording artist, Franklin’s vocal style ranges from classical to R&B to gospel. She will be performing in concert at San Francisco’s Salesforce Tower on May 15. The “Women in the Arts” Dinner includes a 4-course meal with wine pairings provided by Peju Winery and featuring Sara Fowler, Vice President of Operations and Wine Making as well as Trinitas Cellars featuring General Manager, Sonyia Grabski. Menu and wine pairings to follow. The series is presented in partnership with Festival Napa Valley. A portion of the proceeds provides college scholarships for girls from Napa County schools.
