We proudly take our name from the pair of geese that make our estate their home. We admire the lifelong bond that geese form and resilience of their character.
Goosecross’s journey has grown and evolved through the years. Once farmers and grape growers in the 1970s. Then to winemakers and vintners in the 1980s. We take pride in crafting wines that express a sense of “place”, giving voice to the vineyards and the region.
Coming from a family whose history for crafting fine lagers spans five generations, Christi Coors Ficeli was drawn to Goosecross by its heritage and reputation. Looking for a place to call home and grow roots in Napa Valley, she has taken the challenge of writing the next chapter in the Goosecross journey.
Goosecross invites you to join our family and experience all the road less traveled has to offer. We produce only 6,000 cases each year at the winery in Yountville. Our winemaker Bill Nancarrow focuses all of his time and energy on growing grapes and guiding their transformation into great wine. Bill crafts our wines to show true varietal character. He does this by focusing on the basics, sustainable farming with attention, care, and diligence in the cellar. At Goosecross we take a different path, a path that supports our perspective that producing great wine is not enough. That our deep commitment to hospitality, service and connecting with people is tantamount to our mutual success with customers.

Which compliments our sustainable farming practices and dedication to making seriously great wines. We offer a rustic, off the beaten path retreat for wine tasting. You can taste in our newly renovated tasting room and bond with the friendly staff. You can wander the vineyard, relax on the scenic deck, and witness wine production.
