Looking Back at History
Chandon’s journey in crafting exceptional sparkling wines around the world began in 1959, setting the stage for the remarkable story that led them to Napa Valley. The vision of their founder, Robert-Jean de Vogüé, brought them to these fertile soils. In 1973, with John Wright at the helm, they established CHANDON’s second home in Yountville, California. His local knowledge and the support of the Napa community paved the way for 50 incredible years. Chandon recognizes they couldn’t have done it without their neighbors who embraced them back in 1973.

To pay homage to this beautiful valley, Chandon meticulously sourced varietals from their three estate vineyards – Los Carneros, Mt. Veeder, and Yountville. Each of these estates, with its unique terroir, contributes to the iconic expression of Napa Valley’s 2017 vintage. In every glass of CHANDON 50th Anniversary Napa Valley Tribute, you can discern the distinct characteristics of these vineyards – from warm croissant notes to vibrant citrus, minerality, and a burst of fruit.
