‘The Best Intermission in Short Film’

The Yountville Int’l Short Film Festival (YISFF) is presenting world-class short films in 20 themed blocks over the four-day festival, yet there is so much more to experience in Napa Valley’s culinary capital. With its one-mile walkable downtown strip lined with Michelin Star and award-winning restaurants, nineteen winetasting rooms and the finest in accommodations, Yountville and the festival offer The Best Intermission in Short Film!

“We’ve scheduled our morning-to-afternoon film blocks and evening blocks to allow 3 to 4 hours in between so festival goers may experience some of the best food and wine in the world,” says YISFF co-founder, Bill Hargreaves. “We’ve also created daily wine tasting experiences that are included in our VIP Passes.”

With three pop-up cinemas located in the center of town, it’s an easy stroll to drop into several of Yountville’s many restaurants such as Ad Hoc, Bistro Jeanty, Bottega, Bouchon, Hurley’s, Lucy, Ottimo, Platform 8, Protéa, R+D, Redd, Redd Wood and Southside. We recommend a small plates, wine-by-the-glass, sit at the bar strategy so festival goers can experience multiple restaurants during YISFF’s extended intermissions.

For those who have that movie-time sweet tooth or want to put together a picnic lunch to go, Kollar Chocolates in V Market Place, Atelier by JCB and Bouchon Bakery are list toppers.

Of course, the town’s wine scene is both stellar and easy to access with its Yountville Wine Walk. Festival pass holders may choose from nineteen tasting rooms offering wines from Napa Valley’s famed region and from around the world. YISFF’s winery sponsors include JCB, Jessup Cellars, Handwritten Wines, Ma(i)sonry, Silver Trident and Stewart Cellars.
