No tolls, less traffic and no hassle. It is a much quicker journey from any Bay Area airport.
When your wine country trip comes to an end, leaving from SMF makes leaving a little less painful. Friendly ticketing agents make sure that check in is easy and security screenings are the quickest around, allowing for a stress-free start to your home.
Insider Tip: If you are in Terminal B make sure and look out for Lawrence Argents “Leap”, a red rabbit sculpture who seems to be leaping into the airport. “Leap” might look familiar since it has a sister sculpture in Napa Valley at Hall Winery.
The dining options at SMF are not your usual airport fare. Many of the restaurants are local favorites you’ll only find in Sacramento. Even their grab-and-go, Taylor’s Market has locally sourced coffee, sandwiches and pastry and wine selections from Vino Volo, where you can have one last taste of Napa Valley wine before boarding.
Make sure and leave extra room in your carry on so you can shop at one of SMF’s unique stores.
