It is Fall in the Napa Valley and that means it’s a great time to visit and enjoy milder temperatures, beautiful changing grape vines, and drink famous Napa Valley wine! Yountville has many options for enjoying a beautiful fall day; if you are looking for something new and unique, you have to try the Handwritten Wines Bread & Butter experience in their new SoYo Tasting Room!

One of my favorite things is obviously wine, but one of my other favorite things is bread, quickly followed by butter. The Bread & Butter Experience offers the rare opportunity to sample 6 of Handwritten’s most prestigious wines in a side-by-side format. Wines are accompanied with a charming curation of locally baked bread, handmade butter, delicately sliced Spanish-inspired Jamón and an artisan cheese.

Yountville Tasting Rooms are currently allowed to serve wine tasting outside or at 25% capacity inside. Either option is lovely at Handwritten. When you arrive you will be greeted by friendly staff and a personalized menu bound in a leather portfolio!

More impressive than the personalized menu is the  wines poured, ready for your arrival. You get to taste through six wines from the Handwritten portfolio. Handwritten features small production parcels of fruit from primarily estate-owned, hillside vineyards that span the Napa Valley.

Throughout the tasting experience, the wines continue to wow as you learn about the different areas of the Napa Valley and why mountain fruit is different from valley floor fruit (yes, this is really a thing). As you taste wines, side-by-side you get the sense that this is more than just a wine producer.  Thiscompany is passionate about crafting a lifestyle, a way of enjoying wine and food together. They truly lead you through a progression of understanding the Napa Valley through wine. Handwritten wines include Cabernet Sauvignon from Mt. Veeder, Howell Mountain, Rutherford, Oak Knoll, Oakville, Stags Leap, Calistoga, Coombsville, Carneros, and Yountville.

Alongside the impressive wines, you are served bread hot from the oven of Bouchon Bakery and a worldly selection of single-origin butters. This selection includes a pure and unsalted Danish Lurpak, Italian family-made Delitia and the “grand cru” of French beurre, Isigny Sainte-Mère

As if the bread and butter weren’t enough, you can also enjoy rich shavings of American prosciutto. Inspired by European tradition; family-owned La Quercia, raise acorn-fed heritage livestock, to create an American Jamón unlike you have never tasted.

If you are looking for one of the most unique experiences in the Napa Valley then you must book the Handwritten Wines Bread & Butter today!

Handwritten tasting experiences are available 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by appointment only. The Bread & Butter Tasting is served complimentary for Handwritten club members and one guest. Non-members can still enjoy these artisan provisions along with their tasting available at $95 per person (waived upon 3 bottle purchase).
