Located in the Heart of the Napa Valley, Yountville is the perfect place to stay while exploring the Napa Valley. Whether you are coming for a girls weekend or a romantic getaway, Yountville hotels have something for everyone. When planning a staycation for my boyfriend and I we chose to stay at Hotel Yountville. Hotel Yountville is the perfect choice for those looking to experience luxury travel in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
Hotel Yountville is is known as one of the best Napa Valley hotels and is located at the south end of town on Washington Street. An easy find right off Highway 29, Hotel Yountville is rooted in Yountville history. The building was constructed using Napa river rocks and heavy wooden beams which gives the feeling of being in a quintessential wine country home. Walking into the lobby felt like walking into a friends living room. A large fireplace and comfy couches beckons for guests to relax and unwind. The lobby bar, Y Bar, is open from 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. and is a great place to catch up with other travelers and learn tips on how to have the best wine country experience.
Check in was easy with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Upon check-in we were given a handy map of Yountville and special list of partner wineries. The front desk staff were happy to provide any recommendations and help set up activity, winery or dinner reservations for us.
Walking into the hotel room took my breath away. The four poster bed looked like the the most comfortable bed ever made and the deep oversized tub was begging me to take a long relaxing bubble bath. Our King Room featured a sitting area, large gas fireplace, rain shower, makeup vanity, and a large mirror perfect for getting ready for an adventure. My favorite part of our room was the private outdoor patio, complete with two lounge chairs. Truly a gem among the best Yountville hotels.
After a quick rinse in the rain shower, we decided to go for a stroll along Washington Street. Washington Street is the heart of Yountville, lined with restaurants, tasting rooms, and shops that can easily take up a whole day. We stopped at Priest Ranch Winery to do a tasting before dinner. The tasting room has a comfy feel with big couches and it is open till 7:00 p.m., which makes it perfect as a pre-dinner stop. We both decided to do a standard tasting, but were tempted to do the bacon tasting. The wines were tasty and our host was very knowledgeable. We walked away with a bottle of wine as souvenir.
My favorite part of staycationing at Hotel Yountville was our breakfast at the Heritage Oak restaurant. Heritage Oak is open from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and is reserved for hotel guests only. The farm to table menu features seasonal offerings and one of a kind dishes. We chose to sit inside since the summer fog was making it a bit chilly, but on a warmer day sitting out under the 100 year oak tree would be a lovely way to start the day. I indulged in the apricot french toast with vanilla mascarpone cream while my boyfriend had a traditional breakfast with crispy bacon.
Unfortunately all vacations must come to end. One nice thing about check out time at the Hotel Yountville is that is not until noon! This allowed for an extra morning dip in the pool before heading back to the real world.
While there are many Napa Valley hotels to choose from when you are booking your wine country vacation only Hotel Yountville effortlessly combines luxury and comfort in a wine country atmosphere.
