Volunteer at the Yountville Welcome Center

The Yountville Chamber of Commerce operates the Yountville Welcome Center and is seeking locals interested in sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for wine country with our visitors. As a volunteer in the Yountville Welcome Center you will meet and greet visitors and provide details on area activities, accommodations, events and more.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

The Yountville Chamber of Commerce is always looking for new volunteers to help in the Yountville Welcome Center.

Volunteering at the Yountville Welcome Center is a weekly commitment of 4 hours. Volunteers work the same day each week for either a morning shift (9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) or afternoon shift (1:00 p.m. – 5 p.m.). Volunteers are responsible for opening or closing the Yountville Welcome Center, greeting guests, introducing them to Yountville and the Napa Valley and referring them to member businesses.

In addition to a weekly commitment volunteers are expected to attend the monthly volunteer meeting on the last Wednesday of the month and familiarization tours throughout the year.

Other Requirements:
Must have good people skills; be enthusiastic, friendly and have a pleasant personality
Customer service and sales skills
Basic internet search capability
Comfortable standing for lengthy periods of time

The volunteer recruiting process is selective. All candidates must fill out an application followed by an interview to determine their level of knowledge, enthusiasm, commitment and interest in promoting Yountville Chamber of Commerce members.
