Success Highlights of 2017 – 2018

Below are highlights of the Yountville Chamber of Commerce’s successes in 2017 – 2018 (July ’17-June ’18). In early 2017, the chamber began a pivot in the organization’s strategic direction focusing on the modern needs of our members, our town and beyond.

Promoting Yountville and our Members

The Yountville Chamber of Commerce provides many marketing and promotional services to the town as a destination and directly to its members. Here are numbers on highlights of this success during the 2017 – 2018 fiscal year:

We have 38,144 social media followers across three major platforms: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The data below demonstrates our success on Social Media during the 2017 – 2018 FY:

Facebook Growth Increase

Our Facebook page ended the 2017-2018 FY with 25,000 Followers, a 14% increase from the previous year.

Facebook Engagement Increase

Our Facebook page ended the year with 1.4 MM overall impressions, which means that engagement on our posts increased by 21% from the previous year.

Instagram Growth Increase

Our Intagram page ended the 2017-2018 FY with 9,354 Followers, a 50% increase from the previous year.

Instagram Engagement Increase

Our Instagram page ended the year with 26.4k Total Likes, which means that engagement on our posts increased by 54% from the previous year.

Twitter Growth Increase

Our Twitter page ended the 2017-2018 FY with 3,848 Followers, a 15% increase from the previous year.

Our Twitter page ended the year with 260,300 overall impressions, which means that engagement on our posts increased by 39% from the previous year.

Welcome Center

Visitors to Welcome Center

We welcomed 21,283 visitors to the Welcome Center during the 2017-2018 fiscal year.

Business Referrals

The 21,283 visitors to the Welcome Center resulted in 42,566 referrals to Chamber member businesses.

Yountville.com Website

Website Visitors

Yountville.com, the Chamber’s website, received 167,537 visitors in the 2017-2018 fiscal year.

TripAdvisor

TripAdvisor Hits

Yountville’s TripAdvisor page, which the Yountville Chamber of Commerce manages, has been updated throughout 2017-2018 FY with new, engaging content such as articles, a new look, and more. By the end of the FY, the page received 92,808 page views and ultimately provided 3,956 direct clicks (otherwise known as direct referrals) to partner websites.

Media Impressions

Yountville earned 660,381,116 Digital and Print Media Impressions via our Public Relations Team, Fuller & Sander Communications during the 2017-2018 FY.

Yountville was featured in the following magazines, websites and blogs: Marin, Food & Wine, 7x7, JetSetter, Luxury Travel Magazine, Forbes, Los Angeles Times, Worth the Trip, AFAR, Los Angeles NBC Channel 4, Gervois Magazine, Napa Sonoma Magazine, USA Today, Huffington Post, Smarter Travel, San Francisco Chronicle, among others.

Other Marketing and Promotional Efforts

  • Hired Global Marketing Agency MeringCarson to create a unique brand platform for Yountville.
  • Formed strategic partnerships with the Town of Yountville and the NVTID – Yountville to have a united voice when promoting the Destination of Yountville.

Driving Commerce

Yountville Wine Walk

Creation of the Yountville Wine Walk, featuring 17 Tasting Rooms throughout town.

Member Benefits

We’ve expanded Membership Benefits and Services for Chamber members.

Wine Hospitality Committee

Development of the Wine Hospitality of Yountville Committee.

Holidays in Yountville

Through marketing and promotion, 24,983 Unique Page Views to the Holidays in Yountville Event Page.  Increased 1,000 social media followers.

Yountville Live + Taste of Yountville

Through cooperative marketing and promotion, 2,000 plus attended Yountville Live & Taste of Yountville.

Digital Marketing Seminars

We held four Digital Marketing Seminars for member businesses.

Chamber Collaboration

Our team has renewed collaboration and partnership with chambers throughout Napa Valley.

Member to Member Benefits

We’ve created B2B member to member benefits between over 100 businesses.

 

Building a Thriving Community

Chamber Mixers

We held monthly networking mixers, connecting over 1,300 Chamber members and Yountville residents.

Membership Jubilee & Awards Ceremony

The first of it’s kind, celebrating with more than 300 Chamber members and Yountville residents, honoring business & community award winners.

Yountville Locals Flight

The Chamber coordinated with 15 tasting rooms in town to create the Yountville Locals Flight – a resident only tasting experience.

Ribbon Cuttings

The Chamber hosted a re-opening business ribbon cutting ceremonnies for Jessup Cellars.

Yountville Associates (Residents) Program

We developed the Associates Program to strengthen connections between residents and businesses.

 

Residents Bash

We co-partnered with the Town of Yountville to execute the Yountville Residents Bash featuring nine wineries and 13 restaurants.
