CIA at Copia
Join the CIA at Copia for a screening of “King Georges,” a documentary feature from the 2015 Napa Valley Film Festival. The film will be presented as part of First Fridays at Copia, a free monthly event that celebrates the arts.
Synopsis: Fiery French chef Georges Perrier is on a crusade to save his world-renowned 40-year-old Philadelphia restaurant, Le Bec-Fin, from closing. For decades, Perrier was on top of the world and Le Bec-Fin was consistently rated as one of the best restaurants in the country. But times and tastes have changed: what was once cutting edge is now out of favor. Director Erika Frankel’s “King Georges” captures with mastery in the kitchen and charisma on the dining room floor, and will have you rooting for a determined, tragi-comic figure and his quixotic fight to keep his cherished culinary traditions alive.
Admission to this film screening is $10. Pre-registration is suggested. If the screening is not sold out, remaining tickets will be available for pick up at our Will Call table on the day of the event (while supplies last).
