January in Napa Valley exudes a serene charm as the region welcomes the new year amidst lush vineyards and crisp winter air. While the grapevines lay dormant, the landscape takes on a peaceful beauty, with the dormant vines casting long shadows across the rolling hills. The weather is cool and invigorating, perfect for exploring the quaint towns and enjoying the world-renowned wines that Napa Valley has to offer. January in Napa Valley is a time of quiet reflection, where the slower pace allows visitors to appreciate the natural beauty and the rich winemaking heritage that defines this renowned wine region.

Fisher, who elevated cooking from a domestic chore to a critical study of life itself. Described by W.H. Auden as “the best prose writer in America,” the underrecognized Fisher introduced continental sensibilities to California’s burgeoning culinary world, while she transformed the traditional background figure of a woman in the kitchen into a living, breathing subject with dazzling ideas, passionate emotions, and insatiable appetites. Includes Q&A with the film’s creative team and special guests immediately following the screening.
