Join Napa Humane for Walk for Animals 2019 – a fun Napa Humane event and leisurely walk through Downtown Napa (with or without a pooch!) in support of pets throughout the Napa Valley. This short walk goes miles and miles for animals! The Walk will begin in Oxbow Commons and take the Walkers on a tour of Napa’s Riverfront. Beginning and ending at Oxbow Commons on McKinstry Street, registered walkers will receive a t-shirt, goodie bag, and enjoy music, a silent auction, contests, photo opportunities and more as we come together to raise funds for Napa Humane – serving Napa Valley pets and their people. Register online before August 2nd for $35 per walker or $45 per walker at the event. 100% of the proceeds to benefit Napa Humane.

The mission of Crush Cancer Napa Valley is to serve and support local cancer fighters during treatment. By raising funds for life’s basic necessities; groceries, utilities, childcare and transportation, along with a growing emphasis on nourishment and resource support, we are able to ease the burden for fighters and their caregivers and allow them to focus their energy on the fight.
This 9th annual event features an expanded two-day format. A silent auction will be held Saturday, August 10th, at Vintner’s Golf Club & Lakeside Grill in Yountville. Passed hors d’oeuvres, wine and bubbles will be served against the backdrop of Vintners’ stunning lake and golf course, followed by a limited-seating dinner and a live auction of a few select lots.
On Sunday, August 11th, we’ll rise, shine and gather at Yountville Community Plaza for our annual 5K Walk/Run.
For those who wish to donate or pledge funds in support of a participating individual or group, this can be accomplished by completing the registration process.

Each month will work with seasonal ingredients and a trained chef to teach you simple techniques that will take your culinary level up a notch. Everything you make will be served alongside lunch and paired with Priest Ranch wines. Our wine specialists and a local chef will discuss how each wine pairs, specifically with certain foods – a skill that you will be sure to impress with at your next social gathering. You will take home recipes and samples to assist you in recreating each meal year after year. In August, you will work with a variety of berries fresh from the gardens and local farmers. You will explore adventurous ways to use them on cheese boards, in sauces, and creating desserts.

All are invited to join the Grgich and Hills families to toast the beginning of the 2019 harvest at Grgich Hills’ annual Blessing of the Grapes. The first grapes will be blessed on Friday, August 30, starting at 10 a.m. on the crush pad at Grgich Hills Estate. Attendees to this complimentary event can enjoy a glass of Grgich Hills Estate wine during this age-old celebration. Following the blessing, the Grgich Hills team will host a reception with wine, wood-fire pizza and salad on the patio where the winery’s daily Grape Stomp will officially begin. Grape stomping is complimentary until noon for anyone who attends the Blessing of the Grapes. The tradition of blessing the first fruits of the harvest can be traced back to Old Testament times and its a three decades-long tradition at Grgich Hills Estate. The winery has held a blessing of the grapes every year since the winery was founded in 1977 by Mike Grgich and Austin Hills.
