KALÍ ZOË Opening Reception Gallery at the Yountville Community Center

Thursday, April 14, 2022
5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Gallery at the Community Center

The Spiros sisters, raised in Northport, New York, founded the Napa-based fine jewelry and art studio Kalí Zoë to carry forth their artistic vision.  Kalí Zoë translates to “may your life be good” in Greek, and their work celebrates small moments of beauty in the natural world.

Arianna Spiros splits her time between Brussels, Belgium and Napa.  She studied painting at Columbia University in New York, and is inspired by Richard Diebenkorn’s notes of light and color to depict place and Helen Frankenthaler’s lush and lyrical works.  “I create atmospheric landscape abstractions that range from larger-scale paintings on Belgian linen, to small, paper and woven collages framed in wood”, Adrianna explained.  Her passion is to capture light and movement in spontaneous representations of place—in this case, Napa Valley.

Callie Spiros is a multi-disciplinary artist who received her BFA in sculpture and design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  She was drawn to working with metal and the transformative process of lost wax casting.  This led her to realize an artistic approach that worked well in creating fine jewelry.  “I am inspired by the surreal natural terrain that surrounds me in Northern California”, says Callie.  “Every piece of jewelry has evolved from the one before it”.
